I had a hard time waking up this morning, but it was probably due to my pain medication.
I haven't really had terrible hunger pangs today, but I did feel pretty head-achy. I don't know if it's the fact that I didn't drink much coffee (it was hard to get it down without my Truvia and powdery creamer). Or if my body is rebelling because it's not getting the sugar intake it's used to.
It hasn't been terrible ... it's more annoying than anything.
Right now I am lying in bed, it's 7:15 p.m., and I'm feeling like I want to glass of wine. But that's just my brain talking. I'll resist, but man, . . . . I don't want to.
Also, my stomach feels a little crampy right now, but I have to admit, I feel incredibly full.
- Breakfast: Two slices of breakfast frittata, black coffee (yuck!)
- Lunch: Avocado halves topped with rotisserie chicken, salsa and cilantro (delish!!!)
- Snacks: Banana chips, cashews, mandarin orange
- Dinner: Half a baked potato topped with sloppy Joe meat and steamed broccoli, hot tea
Regarding my lunch today, I used to limit how much avocado I'd eat because it was fattening. But technically, it's a "good" fat, so I decided to trust what the books say and go for it.

Hi Kim! Sounds like you're doing pretty well with the new eating plan and not starving. :) That encourages me - I've been nervous about how I'll do with it. I'm starting this weekend. Keep at it, and I'll look forward to hearing about your progress!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love your first few blog posts. You always make me laugh. I think we should share haikus. ;)
